Making direct-to-patient work, with Matt Wadyka

Patients
Interview with Matt Wadyka at Reuters Pharma USA 2026

Direct-to-patient programmes were a major topic of conversation at Reuters Pharma USA in Philadelphia this week. More and more pharma companies are exploring this avenue, but to succeed they have to balance patient trust and convenience with their own strategic priorities.

During the conference, Matt Wadyka, chief client strategy officer at Inizio Medical, spoke to pharmaphorum’s Jonah Comstock about what keeping that balance entails and what it means for pharma companies to truly put power back into the patient’s hands.

They also discuss changing trends in medical affairs and science education, the connection between these two trends, and how AI fits into the whole picture.

Check out the video below for a great distillation of some of the major discussions at the show.
