ASCO 2026: New hope in AL amyloidosis, with Dr Hans Lee

Patients

A phase 1/2 trial in the rare disease light chain amyloidosis saw 100% of patients obtaining at least a very good partial response with 90% obtaining a complete response. And they responded in an average of just over two weeks.

It’s exciting news in an orphan indication which currently lacks any approved treatment, and Dr Hans Lee, director of multiple myeloma research at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, joined pharmaphorum at ASCO 2026 to talk about the LINKER-AL2 trial, the bispecific antibody linvoseltamab, and what these results could mean for oncologists and patients.

Lee talks about why speed of response is especially critical in this disease, the value of an off-the-shelf therapy for patient access, and zooms out to talk about the rapid progress that’s been made in the last three to five years in the broader myeloma space.
