This month’s executive moves in the agency, consultancy, and investor sectors reflect a growing emphasis on strategic leadership, commercial expansion, and specialised expertise in life sciences. From seasoned investment bankers to communications veterans, here’s a look at the latest hires.

Norstella names new CEO. UnitedHealthcare vet Kris Joshi has taken the helm as CEO of Norstella, a New York-based pharma intelligence solutions provider that encompasses brands such as Citeline, Evaluate, MMIT, Panalgo, and The Dedham Group. Joshi most recently led Optum’s $3 billion software, network, and data business, and previously shaped health science product strategy at Oracle. His career also includes a pivotal role in optimising software and analytics at Change Healthcare.

Outcome Capital taps investor and advocate to lead new practice. Outcome Capital has hired Paul Ryb as managing director, leading the investment firm’s newly launched ophthalmology practice. Ryb is both a seasoned ophthalmic investor and a visually impaired patient advocate as well as bringing over 30 years of global investment banking experience from firms including Royal Bank of Scotland and Lehman Brothers.

Real Chemistry builds out leadership across the business. Real Chemistry, a communications agency specialising in life sciences, has made a trio of high-profile appointments to strengthen its leadership:

  • JJ Schmuckler has joined as group president and chief revenue officer, a newly created role. He previously served as global chief growth officer at VML, where he drove commercial strategy and client expansion.
  • Michelle Terra became president of 21GRAMS, an agency under the Real Chemistry umbrella. Terra brings over 14 years of senior leadership experience from Omnicom, where she was president of the Healthcare Consultancy Group.
  • Brenna Terry was named president of integrated communications. With more than 25 years in the industry, Terry has led global client engagements for AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson where she played a key role in post-merger integration efforts.

ramarketing expands commercial and client services teams. UK-based global pharma marketing agency ramarketing has added several new faces to its team. Trevor Pill joined as client services director, bringing over 15 years of experience in agency leadership and life sciences marketing. His appointment is expected to enhance client engagement and service delivery. Additionally, Ben Quigley and Marjory Chiyesu were named senior commercial managers. Both have worked with a range of pharmaceutical companies to accelerate growth, and their expertise will support ramarketing’s continued expansion in global markets.
