ASCO 2026: Pluvicto shows consistency, with Dr Fred Saad
As the hype builds around radiopharmaceuticals, Novartis’s Pluvicto (lutetium PSA) remains one of the few that’s actually made it to market. In a conversation at ASCO 2026, Dr Fred Saad of the University of Montreal shared some insights from a subgroup analysis of Pluvicto in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer presented at the show.
Speaking with pharmaphorum EiC Jonah Comstock, Saad discusses how the analysis showed a consistent effect for the drug across high and low volume disease groups and across both de novo and recurrent groups.
They also didn’t see big differences in quality of life or adverse events, which is good news for aspirations to use the drug in earlier-stage treatments.
