ASCO 2026: First to first line in HER-2 NSCLC, with Itziar Canamasas

Boehringer Ingelheim is continuing to see success with zongertinib (Hernexeos) in HER-2 positive non-small cell lung cancer as well as in other indications. At ASCO 2026, BI Global Head of Oncology Itziar Canamasas spoke with pharmaphorum Editor in Chief Jonah Comstock about the company's ASCO data, which reflects continued progress across key assets in the oncology portfolio.

Canamasas also discusses how the company’s most recent data fits into the larger oncology strategy at BI, and gets into some of the realities of extending a therapy across new indications.
