Life sciences leadership: the pharmaphorum podcast
Episode 15 of the pharmaphorum podcast marked a return visit for leading life sciences industry authority Professor Brian D Smith.
He previously appeared on episode 6 to discuss what makes a modern (and successful) marketing team and for this instalment we met up to discuss his new book, Leadership in the Life Sciences.
The book looks inside the heads and hearts of some of those who lead global pharmaceutical and medical technology companies to investigate how they make sense of their markets and the wider industry economy.
Prof Smith’s 40-year industry career has seen him move from research to marketing to academia, and he is currently a visiting professor at the University of Hertfordshire, adjunct professor at Milan’s SDA Bocconi School of Management and principle advisor at Pragmedic.
