Changing Faces – Agency, consultancy, and nonprofit hires for June 2025
June was a slower month on the pharma agency side, but were several hires worth reporting, as well as a couple of interesting appointments on the non-profit side.
Avalere Health adds two big names. London-based pharma services firm Avalere Health strengthened its leadership team with two senior hires: Jocelyn Crouch has joined as Head of Brand Strategy and Saiqa Kahn is in as Head of Growth. Crouch previously served as therapeutic lead for oncology and specialty medicine at Publicis Health, where she led business efforts for Pfizer’s International Developed Markets, while Kahn was most recently EVP and head of commercial development at Complete HealthVizion, part of IPG Health.
Inizio Evoke’s new EVP brings big pharma experience. Kelly Cusumano has been named EVP of Growth and Client Innovation at Inizio Evoke, a UK-based global pharma commercialisation partner. With more than 25 years of experience leading strategy for major pharmaceutical brands including Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson, Cusumano brings a strong track record of innovation and client-centric growth. She has won a number of marketing awards and most recently spent a decade at Edelman.
CRUK Manchester taps veteran researcher for directorship. Over in the academic world, Samra Turajlić has been appointed Director at the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, part of The University of Manchester. Turajlić is a consultant medical oncologist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and has led an independent research group at the Francis Crick Institute since 2019.
Bay Area Lyme Foundation names Executive Director. Bay Area Lyme Foundation, a leading sponsor of Lyme disease research in the United States, has named Josh Wein as its new Executive Director. Wein brings experience from both the media and biotech sectors; a former journalist at the San Francisco Examiner, he has also helped companies like Delfi Diagnostics, Commure, and Guardant Health raise multiple $100 million+ financing rounds.
