Interview Hakim Yadi and Luba Greenwood at LSX 2024

High-profile digital health investor Luba Greenwood recently announced that she’s joined as Chair of the Board at Closed Loop Medicine, a company applying machine learning to precision drug dosing. Greenwood is managing partner at Binney Street Capital, the investment vehicle of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

In this interview, filmed at LSX 2024 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Greenwood and Closed Loop CEO Hakim Yadi talk about why precision dosing is necessary and how the idea can support a profitable company.

Speaking with host Jonah Comstock, they discuss how the company partners with pharma to add value to existing drugs, the difference between focusing on precision dosing and focusing on adherence, and some of the early areas where the company is seeing success.

They also discuss investing more broadly (digital health, as well as biotech) and identify some of the areas most and least likely to bear fruit. Greenwood talks about the topic of her LSX panel: corporate venture funds and what they’re looking for.
