NEW YORK, May 23, 2018 – Jessica Santos, Global Compliance and Quality Director at Kantar Health, received an ISPOR service award for her contributions to ISPOR's recent updates to its Code of Ethics and continued support and strategic counsel to ISPOR. Jessica served as Co-Chair of ISPOR's Code of Ethics Task Force, which published the “ISPOR Code of Ethics 2017" in the December 2017 issue of Value in Health. The award was announced in Baltimore at the ISPOR 2018 Meeting.

"We’re very proud of Jessica's hard work, dedication and significant contributions to the healthcare research industry and in support of health economics and outcomes research, real-world research, and market research and quality,” said Lynnette Cooke, Global CEO of Kantar Health.” Jessica is on the front lines of our business, with a keen focus on developing quality and compliance standards for research and fostering a productive environment for research innovation. She played a key role in helping Kantar Health achieve ISO certification, and is a valued thought leader in our industry."

ISPOR, the professional society for health economics and outcomes research, uses its Code of Ethics to publicize the standards that define what is acceptable and unacceptable in the conduct of all aspects of research, from its inception to the dissemination of its results. The 4th edition of the Code of Ethics was distilled down to 72 summary points interwoven within its nine chapters. Many of the updates are intended to better address issues that have arisen in the era of today’s rapidly evolving digital heath environment. This latest edition covers a wide range of issues, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, data sharing, and the proliferation of different routes for digital dissemination of health economics and outcomes information.
