Syneos Health Communications takes the crown at PM Society Digital Awards

The PM Society Digital Awards 2024, an annual event in the healthcare marketing industry sponsored by Twist Health, held its 15th ceremony at The Brewery in London on 12th September. Hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, the event saw over 500 industry professionals gather to celebrate innovation and excellence in digital healthcare communications.

Syneos Health Communications emerged as the night's big winner, clinching the coveted Digital Agency of the Year award along with a Gold, Silver, and Highly Commended recognition. The agency impressed judges with its innovative approach, particularly in leveraging generative AI to transform both internal practices and client solutions.

Precision AQ also made a strong showing, securing two Gold awards and a Silver. Their omnichannel campaign for Takeda won in the new "Proud to Promote" category, highlighting the ethical value of medicine promotion and its positive impact on patient care.

Another new category introduced this year was Pharma Technology Impact, which was awarded to Digital Control Room for their digital compliance solution developed for AstraZeneca.

Individual achievements were also recognised during the ceremony. Lawrence Ward-Lilley from performance.io was named Best Project or Account Manager of the Year, while Sarah Bartlett from AbbVie received the Pharma Digital Partner award for her work in promoting digital innovation within the pharmaceutical industry.

Rachel Farrow, Chair of the PM Society Digital Awards, noted that over 50 different agencies participated this year, a record for the event. She observed that the winning projects shared a common goal of using digital media to improve healthcare outcomes.
