Live Tweetchat: Managing COPD in the real world

Working in partnership, Atlantis Healthcare and pharmaphorum present a Tweetchat focussed on the real world challenges patients face in managing their COPD, with particular focus on how they take their medicines and manage their condition.

The event takes place on the 4th February at 3pm (UK) / 4pm (EU) / 10am (EST) and you can view and interact with the conversation by following the hashtag #rwCOPD.

Bringing together patients, advocates, pharma and self management/behavioral change experts from Atlantis Healthcare - the event is moderated by pharmaphorum's Paul Tunnah (@pharmaphorum) and has an expert panel attending including Head of Health Psychology, Prof. John Weinman tweeting from Atlantis Healthcare (@AtlantisHtweets) and Rolf Taylor tweeting on behalf of the COPD Foundation (@COPDFoundation) the event covered three key topic areas:

• What are the biggest challenges COPD patients face in managing their condition?

• Why do COPD patients not always take medicines as prescribed?

• What additional support is most needed for COPD patients above and beyond new / better medicines?

This is the second tweetchat in the Patient Insights series. The previous event focused on Diabetes and saw some revealing experiences uncovered in the course of the dialogue.
