Makara Health promotes Helen Laurence to director

Makara Health has added to its leadership team, promoting Helen Laurence from associate director to director.

She has been with the Salisbury, UK-based healthcare communications agency for three years, having joined from Gravitas Public Relations.

Louise Sharp, Makara Health’s owner and managing director, said: “We are delighted to have someone as passionate and skilled as Helen join our leadership team, bringing a wealth of experience in public relations, medical education and patient engagement.

“Helen has a proven track record of building and growing accounts. Her leadership role will allow her to spearhead our communications offering, taking the strategic lead on existing accounts and building new business to support the continued growth of Makara.”

Laurence previously worked at a range of healthcare communications agencies, including Havas Just and Virgo Health, and also served as senior press officer at the Alzheimer’s Society.
