The secrets of the secretome, with Hans Keirstead

R&D
Interview at JPM26 with Hans Keirstead

What is the secretome? One would be forgiven for thinking it’s a biological realm they’re not allowed to talk about. But the root here is “secrete”, not “secret”. At the Biotech Showcase last week in San Francisco Hans Keirstead, CEO of Immunis, let us in on the secret, explaining how the sum total of a cell’s secretions can be used to create complex multitarget drugs.

In an interview with pharmaphorum editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock, Keirstead discusses the work the Immunis is doing around the secretome, creating an anti-ageing therapeutic initially targeting improved locomotion gate speed, a key indicator of healthy ageing.

Keirstead gives an update on the company’s impressive Phase 2a results and shares why his company thinks the immune system is key to tackling healthspan and longevity. Check out the video for more.
