FT US Pharma and Biotech Summit

This week, pharmaphorum heads to the Big Apple for the FT US Pharma and Biotech Summit, a one-day event where executives from some of the world’s top pharma companies will come together to discuss the major trends impacting the industry today. Make sure to check back here throughout the day on Thursday 16th May as our editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock will be live-blogging it all.

We’ll hear from Biogen president and CEO Christopher Viehbacher to kick things off. Then, after an investment panel featuring voices from GSK and Goldman Sachs, FDA associate director for policy analysis Tala Fakhouri will take the stage for a Q&A.

The day will continue with breakout sessions on drug pricing and patient engagement, a cell and gene therapy panel packed with representatives of Bayer, Astellas, and Gilead’s Kite Therapeutics, and another government Q&A, this one with FTC deputy director Rahul Rao.

Finally, things wrap up with a panel on the upcoming US presidential election and its implications for pharma and healthcare. Make sure to tune in, because it’s not often you get this many hot-button issues discussed by major players in one short day.
