ASCO 2026: Quality of life, not just quantity, with Dr Harold Keer
Speaking with innovators and researchers at ASCO, it’s easy to get caught up in novel therapies and their capacity to extend life. But it’s also important to think about the quality of that life.
In a conversation with pharmaphorum Editor in Chief Jonah Comstock, Dr Harold Keer, chief medical officer at Taiho Oncology, goes in-depth about why his company places such an emphasis on oral formulations, and the positive effect they have on patient quality of life.
Of course Keer also does talk about the data – not ASCO data specifically, but the company’s recent FDA approval for Inqovi in combination with venetoclax for newly-diagnosed AML and a recently accepted NDA for zipalertinib, an EGFR-inhibitor in non-small cell lung cancer.
