Precision medicine takes a village, with Carolyn Sousa and Henar Hevia
Johnson & Johnson showed up at ASCO 2026 with an impressive opening plenary abstract looking at apalutamide in perioperative prostate cancer, but that wasn't the company's only news this weekend.
In a sit-down interview with pharmaphorum, Henar Hevia, EMEA therapeutic lead for oncology and Carolyn Sousa, EMEA strategy lead for solid tumour, spoke at length about the PROTEUS study, but also some of their other exciting data in lung and head and neck cancers.
They also discuss one of the major themes of the show: precision medicine. Specifically, why the kind of collaboration found at ASCO enables pharma companies to work on the diagnostic and screening part of the precision medicine equation and even the access challenges that underpin that space.
Tune in for a mix of news and conversation from oncology's biggest weekend in Chicago.
