Prime Global acquires Cambridge Medical Communication
Prime Global has bought Cambridge Medical Communication in a deal that will see the UK-based company join its stable of six agencies and two consultancies.
The addition of Cambridge Medical Communication, which was founded in 1998 by managing director Jenny Muiry, means Prime Global now employs over 230 people across six locations in the UK, two in the US and satellite offices in San Diego, Germany, and New Zealand.
Graeme Peterson, chairman and CEO of Prime Global, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Cambridge Medical Communication to Prime Global; I am excited to be working with Jenny and her team!”
“Not only is this the next step of our ongoing and successful growth plan, acquiring Cambridge strengthens our scientific excellence, allowing us to establish a new office near the city of Cambridge, one of the largest centres for scientific research in Europe, and also to expand our European client base.”
Muiry (pictured above with Peterson and Prime Global’s editorial and scientific director Valerie Moss) added: “Becoming part of Prime Global will provide our staff and our clients with additional resources, including access to specialised in-house teams, such as creative, digital and strategy.
"With our shared commitment to deliver excellence and maintain long-lasting relationships with our clients, I look forward to working alongside Graeme and the rest of the Prime Global team.”
Other companies within Prime Global include Prime, Spark, Onyx, Paragon, Scion, Core and Prime Access, a recently-launched market access consultancy that’s led by Sue O’Leary.
The med comms and market access group has featured on several business growth lists, including the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 in 2018 and 2019 and as consultancy growth winners of the Alantra Fast Pharma 50 in 2019 and 2020.
