Mike Guarino appointed to lead EVERSANA INTOUCH
EVERSANA has named Mike Guarino to lead its global health agency EVERSANA INTOUCH, which was formed in 2022 by the merger of Intouch Group and Eversana Engage.
Guarino, who will serve as chief executive of the network of full-service agencies, was most recently at healthcare marketing and communications agency network IPG Health, and EVERSANA, where he held the position of chief commercial officer.
He will lead strategy and operations across EVERSANA INTOUCH's core and specialty capabilities, and will focus on connecting commercialisation opportunities through the power of data and AI across the company, "to drive more integrated solutions for clients," said EVERSANA in a statement.
Prior to his role at IPG – which he held for nearly five years – Guarino spent most of his career at FCB Health, part of the IPG network, in senior strategy and commercial roles. He also co-founded and led IPG's Area 23 agency. IPG was acquired by Omnicom in a $13.5 billion deal at the end of last year.
"Mike is a proven agency leader who understands what it takes to deliver real impact to clients in today’s market,” said Mark Thierer, chief executive at EVERSANA, which is the parent company of pharmaphorum.
"His leadership, industry perspective, and passion for innovation make him exactly the right person to lead our agency services forwards as we continue to redefine what modern life sciences marketing will be."
The senior leaders at EVERSANA INTOUCH – including Ann Cave, Susan Perlbachs, John Kenny, and Dan Gandor – will report to Guarino following his appointment. Gaurino succeeds Angela Tenuta, who is leaving the organisation, but will remain with the company for a few weeks to assist with the leadership transition.
Meanwhile, EVERSANA INTOUCH said its founder, Faruk Capan, will continue to be involved in overall agency work, but will focus mainly on the growth and expansion of the AI Agency platform, which launched in August 2025 in collaboration with Google.
Guarino will focus on "strengthening performance, advancing innovation, and scaling solutions that help life sciences brands connect more meaningfully with healthcare professionals and patients," according to the company.
