Digital therapeutics at a turning point: What we heard at DTx East
This year the digital therapeutics space took a hit with the downfall of Pear Therapeutics, one of the most well-known of the industry’s still-active pioneers. Combined with Akili Interactive’s hard pivot to OTC, some in the industry are wondering whether standalone prescription digital therapeutics are a failed experiment.
So, when digital therapeutics developers, partners, and other industry stakeholders descended on Boston last week for DTx East, it was anything but a normal industry conference. Editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock took in the first two days of the conference, and he’s joined on the podcast this week by friend-of-the-pod Eugene Borukhovich, who, in addition to serving as COO of YourCoach Health, also hosts the Digital Therapeutics Podcast.
They discuss what they saw and heard in Boston last week, and add their own insights to some of the hot takes from the stage. Whether you’re deeply steeped in DTx or are a curious observer, this one is worth a listen.
