On the benefits of earlier oncological intervention, with Johnson & Johnson

As ESMO 2026 came to a close, Nicole Raleigh spoke with Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s Carolyn Sousa, VP, EMEA Commercial Strategy Lead – Oncology, and Henar Hevia, Senior Director, EMEA Therapeutic Area Lead, Oncology.

The conversation explored oncology data presented at the Congress that spanned earlier intervention in high-risk localised or locally advanced prostate cancer, as well as a new treatment combination in head and neck cancer.

Overall, more than 25 abstracts were presented across Johnson & Johnson’s solid tumour portfolio and pipeline, and Soussa and Hevia discuss what this potentially means for patients, clinical practice, and the future of cancer care in Europe.
