Digital therapeutics (DTx) are adding new elements to the medical world in the form of a whole new category of treatments, but like any nascent innovation there is much work yet to do to establish their place in the sector.

Leading efforts that bring together patient, healthcare provider, payer and pharmaceutical company voices alongside DTx companies, such as Akili Interactive, Pear Therapeutics, Propeller, Voluntis and WellDoc, is the Digital Therapeutics Alliance (DTA) as it strives to build consensus in the industry about how digital therapeutics are defined and understood.
