Spotlight: BIO 2025

Steering into pharma’s uncertain future at BIO 2025

June 16-19, 2025 | Boston Convention & Exhibition Center

The annual conference of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) is always an anticipated gathering where pharma and biotech leaders and policymakers meet to discuss the challenges facing their industry.

But in 2025, four months into the turbulent Trump Administration, the event has taken on a new significance as the venue where health leaders in the new administration like FDA Commissioner Dr. Martin Makary – not to mention critics of the administration like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro – will lay out their vision for the next four years.

Of course, the political landscape is only one aspect of pharma that’s rapidly changing, and the event will also feature discussions on hot topics like AI, vaccines, and cell and gene therapy.

Our reporter on the scene will be posting daily updates from the show, with video interviews to come in the weeks following. Bookmark this page for all our BIO content.
