Our latest social pharma face is digital expert, Carl Engelmarc, who has a vast background in both the marketing and digital industries. Carl recently started his own company, Refreshed Wellbeing, which is a digital creative and media agency for the pharmaceutical industry.
With social media fast-becoming a necessary communication tool in pharma, we speak to Carl about the benefits it brings, as well as some common challenges pharma organisations face when implementing social media. Carl shares his thoughts on these topics, with respect to brand management.

With over 20 years’ marketing experience, Carl co-founded Refreshed Wellbeing. He specialises in digital strategy, branding and integrated communications for both Rx and consumer health and wellbeing brands. Over the years Carl has had leading positions in agencies such as LBi, McCann Healthcare and Publicis. His healthcare clients include Astra Zeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Eli Lilly, GSK and Pfizer. And when it comes to consumer health and wellbeing, he’s led major digital programmes for Accu-Chek, Alli, Lunesta, Ministry of Health Canada and the UK Department of Health.
