OPEN Health has launched a new specialist Learning & Development (L&D) team that will further expand its existing internal training offerings in the pharmaceutical industry.

The team will integrate expertise from medical practice, healthcare communications and adult learning theory to craft bespoke, self-directed learning programmes.

“We are very excited to build on our existing expertise in internal training with the launch of a team focused solely on the needs of L&D”, said Jess Ingram, managing director at OPEN Health Learning & Development. “The team offers a unique blend of expertise, which means we can deliver truly impactful training programmes”.

The new L&D offering allows OPEN Health to step beyond traditional medical affairs training programmes and enhance scientific knowledge whilst also developing competencies and confidence. Drawing on best practice in adult learning theory and leveraging relevant blended learning technologies, programmes are designed with outcomes in mind to help clients maximise their teams’ potential and act as credible partners across the healthcare community.

“Having a specialist L&D team will allow us to offer significant expertise to our clients in this area, whilst retaining close collaboration with our wider offering across Medical Communications, Value Informatics and Evidence, and Patient and Brand Communication,” explained Rob Barker, CEO at OPEN Health Medical Communications.

OPEN Health Learning & Development is led by Jess Ingram, who has a wealth of experience in internal healthcare training and medical communications at global, regional and local levels. Her senior team combines: medical expertise from Tyler Ray, MBBCh; pharmaceutical and training-based medical communications from Aniket Parikh, MPharm; adult learning theory and practice from Briony Frost, PhD; and programme delivery from Francisca Costa, PharmD.
