The annual Working Mother’s 100 best American companies list has been announced and 26 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies made the cut. The list prides itself on choosing the companies that do “what it takes to keep their employee mums productive and engaged”.
Abbott, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, Genentech, J&,J, Merck, Novartis and Pfizer all made the top 100.
The companies are chosen based on an extensive application with over 600 questions, including questions on workforce, compensation, childcare and flexibility programs. The survey also takes into account usage, availability and tracking of programs, as well as the accountability of managers who oversee them.
“This award truly shows AstraZeneca’s continued commitment and support of our employees and their families by offering family-friendly programs including work-life balance support, child-care programs and adoption assistance.”
Deborah Kauffman, Vice President, Human Resources, AstraZeneca US.
