Global agency Intouch Group has hired John Kenny as senior vice president of strategic planning.

As head of strategic planning, John will be responsible for working with the strategic planning team to continually evolve Intouch Group’s strategic point of view and approach while bringing the most innovative and effective solutions to clients’ brands.

He will be based at the Chicago office of Intouch, part of the privately-held agency’s global network serving the pharma industry.

Kenny brings more than 20 years of global marketing experience, having worked in Europe, Asia and the Americas on both the market research side with C&R Research and on the client side with Diageo Europe.

Most recently, while leading the FCB Chicago strategy team as chief strategy officer, Kenny transformed a traditional brand planning department into a highly specialised team able to work with a diverse mix of B2B, CPG and healthcare brands.

The company said Kenny is known for countless innovations in strategic planning, including the use of behavioural economics in brand building, the application of non-traditional data in insight development, and an approach to creative testing that leverages real consumer insights in real time.

Boris Kushkuley, executive vice president of Intouch, said: “As we prepare for 2021 and beyond, as a network, we have ambitious plans.

“John comes to Intouch with decades of industry experience, and we are confident he will be a strong leader as we continue to expand and mature our strategic offerings.”
