View the conversation - Tweetchat: Managing diabetes in the real world

Working in partnership, Atlantis Healthcare and pharmaphorum conducted a Tweetchat focussed on the real world challenges patients face in managing their diabetes (type I and II), with particular focus on how they take their medicines. This took place on the 18th September (using hashtag #rwdiabetes) and you can view the conversation which resulted here: click for transcript.

Moderated by pharmaphorum's Paul Tunnah (@pharmaphorum) and with Health Psychology Specialist Sinead NiMhurchadha tweeting from Atlantis Healthcare (@AtlantisHtweets), the event covered three key topic areas:

• What are the biggest challenges diabetes patients face in managing their condition?

• Why do diabetes patients not always take medicines as prescribed?

• What additional support is most needed for diabetes patients above and beyond new / better medicines?

The patient insights are revealing - and we will be publishing a white paper looking at how to address these core needs on pharmaphorum.com in late October.
