Sales & Marketing
agency people blur

For a super-sized hires round-up, our list of hires in the agency and consultancy world for May and June is surprisingly concise. Still, there’re definitely some interesting moves, especially in the communications world.

Hennessy joins Hanover, bringing political clout. Hanover Communications, a large comms firm whose clients include a number of big pharma companies, has brought onboard Patrick Hennessy, well known in the UK as former communications chief for the Labour party. Hennessy is also a distinguished political journalist, having written for the Sunday Telegraph and the Evening Standard.

Three new faces at Real Chemistry. Life sciences-focused comms agency Real Chemistry announced three new hires in early May. David Ehrlich, who served as CEO for Aktana for more than a decade, is in as president of analytics and insights; Eric Solomon, coming over from Publicis Health Media, is stepping into the role of practice leader for paid media; and Carina Whitridge, who boasts a broad industry background, is in the newly-created role of global client lead, where she’ll advise the agency’s clients.

Outcome adds two MDs. Outcome Capital, a Boston-based specialised advisory and investment banking firm focused on healthcare and life sciences, made two new managing director appointments within the first week of May. Peter F. Meyer is an investor with 25 years of strategic investing experience in med tech and life sciences and Dr Stanislav Glezer brings 30 years of experience in clinical research and medical affairs roles, most recently at Inogen.

EVERSANA adds MedComms chief. Global pharma services agency network (and pharmaphorum parent company) EVERSANA has hired Mary Manna Anderson as SVP, managing director, and head of MedComms. A veteran of the healthcare, medical affairs, and communication industries, she will focus on implementing omnichannel scientific exchange and P2P engagement models with healthcare providers.

Two new hires at boutique agency. Box Bear, a UK-based boutique healthcare agency specialising in digital communication, tapped Gareth Stranks as creative director and Rob McCarthy as president for the America region. Stranks is former global marketing creative director at Avalere Health, while McCarthy brings broad experience in consulting, support, and strategy development in healthcare.

Incubator expands board. Cumulus Oncology, an Edinburgh outfit that styles itself a "biotech company creation factory", has added Catherine Lewis La Torre to its Board of Directors.
