Agency, consultancy, and investor hires

Another light month in March on the agency and investor side, but there are a few appointments worth noting.

Langland grows leadership team. Langland, a London-based creative agency and subsidiary of Publicis Health UK, has added two new group managing directors who will report directly to CEO Victoria Wright. Katie McMorran, who brings 25 years of advertising experience, will lead the firm’s advertising practice, while Clare Middleton, who started her PR and medical education career at Resolute Communications, will head up clinical trial experience, medical strategy and education, and public relations.

UK’s ramarketing makes multiple appointments. The communications and commercial growth agency remarketing, based in Newcastle, announced several hires and promotions. Most notably, Melissa Pattinson joins the firm as chief financial officer and a member of the Board of Directors. With a professional background in finance and an educational background in biology, Pattinson is a natural addition to the team.

Additionally, the firm announced that Olivia Addinall and Lara Lovenbury have moved from Newcastle to the agency’s Toronto office, with Lovenbury taking on the newly created role of head of strategy and Addinall stepping in as head of account management. Finally, Lindsay Baldry is changing roles from head of PR to strategic communications lead and Catherine Hunter has been promoted to head of business development.

Investor makes high-profile board appointments. Also in London, life sciences VC firm 4BIO Capital brought two big names onto its advisory board. Vifro Pharma CEO Abbas Hussain has 30 years across Eli Lilly and GSK, while LogicBio co-founder Leszek Lisowski is a renowned vectrology expert and the founder of multiple gene therapy companies in his native Australia. Additionally, 4BIO announced Natalie Johnston’s promotion from investment associate to principal.

Jeito signals growth with new executive. Jeito Capital, a Paris-based PE fund in the biopharma space, appointed Sarah Leroy to its executive committee as secretary general in charge of legal and financial affairs, compliance, HR, and sustainability. As member of the Paris bar, Leroy brings an extensive background leading M&A at firms like August Debouzy and Jones Day. She also has experience as an executive at AXA IM Alts and Tereos.

That’s it for this round-up. Remember, if you’ve had a recent appointment and you work in or around the pharma space, we want to hear about it. Please send your press releases to editorial@pharmaphorum.com to be included in future editions of Changing Faces.
