Plenum Network launched to Challenge and Drive Innovation in Healthcare Sector Meetings and Communications Programmes
Plenum has launched a unique network which will support and challenge leaders in meetings and communication programmes. We will connect industry influencers and address future mega trends such as:
- Effective communication - which are the innovative models that will disrupt the status quo?
- Understand the definition of audience – how will engagement adapt to new initiatives and a changing target demographic?
- The informed patient - the role of the patient in medical meetings?
- Measurement – challenge why meetings and events seem immune to credible ROI metrics?
The network will benefit from proprietary and member created white papers, research projects, news articles, webinars and face to face meetings focusing on topics such as; effective meeting models, the use of technology, the patient and meetings which will facilitate a cross functional, peer and organisational conversation to develop knowledge and practical guidance to the network and beyond. Content will be released on a rolling basis via the networks on-line member workspace where polls, surveys and access to all materials can be made. Selected data will be released beyond the network.
As part of a series of peer to peer group activities in 2018, Plenum is today launching a research project following on from the survey of over 850 healthcare providers made by the Healthcare Meetings Forum in 2014. Key questions on the impact of compliance on meeting attendance, preferences to communication formats and their relationship with industry will be mapped against the previous conclusions to report on changes and further outcomes.
At a think tank style summit in November 2018 the advisory groups, and a broader collection of experts, will continue the debate and analysis of these key trends with a summit report issued, consolidating all the evidence, opinion and recommendations collected from all the meetings and surveys completed throughout the year. Further complimentary cascade events are planned in 2018 and 2019 to communicate the data to as wide a group as possible.
To enhance the content and reach of the audience Plenum has formed partnerships with Time Research and Pharmaphorum, leading research and media outlets for the healthcare sector. “Medical meetings have a huge impact in building business relationships and communicating scientific information. This we know, Plenum has been designed to provide a vehicle for the data that can direct informed actions” said Mark Handforth of 3Sixty Event Consulting. I am pleased to be working with Time Research, Pharmaphorum and the rest of the committee to create a landmark network that will provide senior leaders a challenging environment with access to information and tools to create best in class meetings.”
