Dominic Tyer joins pharmaphorum’s specialist healthcare content consultancy
pharmaphorum has appointed Dominic Tyer to the newly-created role of creative director at its specialist healthcare content consultancy pharmaphorum connect.
He brings 19 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare publishing experience to the position, most recently as director of editorial for both PMGroup and PharmaTimes.
Paul Tunnah, pharmaphorum’s CEO, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Dom to the pharmaphorum team, which continues to grow as more healthcare companies get serious about content marketing and communications.
“His heavyweight multichannel publishing experience is sure to enhance our existing capabilities in providing thought-provoking content and cutting edge uses of digital and social channels.”
Tyer joins from pharmaceutical publishing firm the PMGroup, where he spent six and a half years, working across the PME, PharmaTimes and Communiqué brands, and before that he served at Pharmafocus for 12 years.
He said: “I’ve known Paul for years and am really excited to be joining him and the pharmaphorum team. As publishing - and the pharma industry - evolves to meet the challenges of the digital age it’s a great time to join a forward-thinking company.”
Established in 2009, Surrey, UK-based pharmaphorum media runs the pharmaphorum.com pharmaceutical news and analysis website, a busy webinar channel and the Deep Dive digital magazine.
Its pharmaphorum connect company operates as a content and communications agency, working with the likes of Astellas, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim and Lundbeck. Tyer's appointment adds to a growing pharmaphorum connect team that last year saw the addition of Consulting Director Mark Walmsley.
