Independent medical communications and marketing group Fishawack has acquired Blue Latitude Health.
The move comes shortly after the UK-based group restructured its business into twin med comms and creative divisions and marks its third deal in less than a year and a half, after picking up Healthcircle Advertising and Carling Communications.
Fishawack Group’s CEO Oliver Dennis said: “In 2016, we set out our vision to form a major new force in the global creative agency space that would make us as strong in the creative arena as we already are in medical communications.
“With three acquisitions in this space in the last 16 months, I think we’ve firmly announced our intention to achieve this goal. We were actively looking for a consultancy that could bring strategic and customer experience expertise to our portfolio and Blue Latitude Health fits perfectly.”
Gail Flockhart, Fishawack’s group managing director, added: “Many of our clients are wanting a partner that has specialist global capabilities both commercially and medically, and can ensure alignment of communication objectives.
“Blue Latitude Health has a deep strategic consulting capability and brings us a base in New York City, from which we can continue to expand our East Coast creative and medical communications teams.”
Founded in 2003, Blue Latitude Health has offices in London and New York, and is focused on the commercialisation of healthcare innovations. The last year has seen the company grow by 60%, add 28 new members of staff and move its European headquarters to a new location in London.
Its managing director Martin Brass said: “To enable us to continue to grow and provide existing and future clients with a stronger offering, we needed to find a partner who both shared our values and matched our ambition. We believe we have found this partner in Fishawack.”
