Careers Engagement Manager
Job Summary
The HCA (Healthcare Communications Association) and PM Society (Pharmaceutical Marketing Society) are joining forces to engage with new talent on the opportunities and careers within the healthcare industry. One of the biggest challenges that the industry faces is attracting new talent (outside of the industry). We are looking for a new role; Careers Engagement Manager to support and manage this exciting venture. A fantastic opportunity to work with a small but senior team l (team of four) in this newly created partnership, where there is potential for future opportunities beyond this initiative.
If you are a great communicator and excited by the opportunity of helping to plan, and lead the implementation of an engagement initiative, then please keep reading! We are looking for someone who ‘gets’ strategy and is able to run with it, has experience in mapping out and/or managing campaigns, or internal engagement projects, is self-motivated, takes initiative and able to work independently. Happy to roll-up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the role, from running a stand at career fairs and joining in on other events, as well as writing and developing website/social content. Ultimately representing the new partnership between HCA and PM Society, raising awareness and engaging new talent into the fantastic career opportunities within Healthcare Communications.

Job Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of our engagement initiatives with support and input from HCA/PM Society team members
- Help input into strategy and lead on project initiatives
- Development and implement marketing, website and social content, in collaboration with key HCA/PM Society team members
- Networking with potential new talent; attendance at career fairs and/or other events. Confidently manning a stand and promoting the fantastic career opportunities within the Healthcare Communications industry, representing the PM Society/HCA partnership
- Communication lead between key internal and external stakeholders and ensuring alignment to responsibilities, timings and deliverables
- Project management of the various streams of initiatives and driving force to deliver against timeline and deadlines to meet objectives
Experience
- Excels in communication and relationship building (verbal and written)
- Healthcare industry/service industry experience is an advantage
- Events management experience is an advantage
- Experience in managing a campaign or engagement programmes in a communications, marketing or HR role
- Project management skills and excels in project delivery
- Self-starter and innovative problem solver
- A clear and confident presenter
- Excellent attention to detail
Hours and location
- Up to 22.5 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days, working remotely, meeting on average, once a month in a central or west London location.
Salary
- Initial requirement is a 12 month fixed contract, with a possibility of extending thereafter. Salary 25K - 30K (FTE Salary 40K-50K) dependant on experience.

Both the HCA (Healthcare Communications Association) and PM Society (Pharmaceutical Marketing Society) are well established not-for-profit organisations with membership, supporting all in the Healthcare Communications industry. The members comprise of in-house teams, agencies, third sector and individuals working in national and global healthcare communications across diverse business sectors, including pharma and biotech companies. The HCA (Healthcare Communications Association)

The PM Society
The PM Society believes excellent healthcare communications leads to better outcomes for patients. Established over 40 years ago to serve the needs of the pharmaceutical industry and its service agencies. It is organised and directed by the Board, Executive Committee and Committee, steering the direction of the Society and working hard to forge close working relationships with other industry groups, for the benefit of its’ membership.
