Reuters Pharma USA – Ligia Del Bianco

At Reuters Pharma USA last month in Philadelphia, centring the voice of the patient was a major topic of discussion throughout the event.

On the side lines of the event, editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock talked to Ligia Del Bianco, head of patient advocacy and external comms for Biogen’s Alzheimer’s, neuro, and MS unit.

Ligia shares some of her insights from the show and talks a bit about the idea of health literacy – what it means and why it’s important. She goes over the key aspects of health literacy and discusses how pharma should be addressing them.

Ligia and Jonah also talk a bit about how to make sure the voice of the patient is front and centre in the boardrooms of the pharma industry.
