Reuters Pharma USA – Kevin Hagan

Working in the pharma industry, it’s important to be aware of the impact of policies on all stakeholders, from industry colleagues, to payers and providers, and to patients – including low-income patients.

At the PAN Foundation, President and CEO Kevin Hagan works with his team to support and advocate for those patients. He was on site at Reuters Pharma USA last month in Philadelphia to amplify that patient voice for the pharma executives in attendance – and to discuss the results of a survey Morning Consult fielded on behalf of the PAN Foundation last year.

Editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock caught up with Kevin to talk about the financial impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on Medicare patients, what’s positive, and what more work there is to be done.

They also discuss the importance of health equity more broadly and what pharma can and should do to combat cost disparities in healthcare.
