Partnering for holistic care
In a new episode of the pharmaphorum podcast, editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock speaks with Eugene Borukhovich, co-founder and COO of YourCoach Health, and Lyndi Hirsch, SVP of marketing strategy at Medisafe. Both companies specialise in digital health and, although different, entered into a partnership at the end of June.
Medisafe’s mission is to support health management by connecting patients and the healthcare system seamlessly, and it has evolved from a medication adherence tool to an integrated, holistically managed healthcare platform. YourCoach Health, meanwhile, originally began from the personal breast cancer experience of Borukhovich’s wife, and CEO of the company, Marina, evolving over time from a practice management solution to providing tech-enabled coaching services within the healthcare sector.
The word ‘digital’ having become over-indexed, as Borukhovich says, it is through looking at and integrating the behavioural change techniques utilised by healthcare providers that technology can be most effectively employed. It is a question of creating connections; integrating the high-tech and high-touch.
At the end of the day, it’s about getting the right care to the right patient at the right time, and this is what such a digital health partnership as that between Medisafe and YourCoach can enable: providing a tangibly effective patient-centred healthcare journey.
