Lucid Group appoints Rob Apollo to its senior leadership team
Lucid Group has expanded its senior leadership team with the appointment of Rob Apollo as director of corporate development.
He was previously an investment manager at LDC, which made a minority investment in Lucid in June 2017, at which point he also joined the UK agency’s board.
Apollo (pictured above) brings a wealth of experience in acquiring and integrating businesses, as well as in supporting growing businesses and building infrastructure, to his new role at the healthcare communications agency.
He said: “I have seen the business continue to deliver best-in-class services to clients while maintaining market-leading organic growth. However, what really inspires me is Lucid’s purpose to help improve patients’ lives, which is at the heart of everything we do.”
Lucid, which recently expanded its UK presence and added to its writing teams, said the move was part of its wider growth strategy to acquire new capabilities, partnerships and companies.
Meanwhile, the Buckinghamshire-based agency has also welcomed six new graduates (pictured above) into its training programme, The Futures Academy, this week.
Launched in 2017, the programme involves an intensive eight-week course, specifically designed for scientifically curious graduates entering the industry for the first time. After that they move into two different placements for the rest of the year, allowing them to experience both the writing and account handling sides of the business.
Lucid’s HR director Angela Young said: “The Futures Academy provides a fantastic platform for graduates entering into the industry to learn from the best, get inspired, explore their talents and realise their ambitions.
“It’s a true reflection of the human-centric and pioneering spirit of Lucid Group – individuals and teams working together to nurture talent and create magic.”
