Solving problems in pathology data, with Nathan Buchbinder

This time around on the pharmaphorum podcast, editor-in-chief Jonah Comstock chats with Nathan Buchbinder, co-founder and chief product officer at Proscia, about pathology data, why it has taken so long to digitise it, and what the possibilities are when this data is freed from its historical siloes.

While our understanding of pathology slides has advanced considerably, Nathan says, our processes for creating and maintaining those slides has not – at least until the last decade. Now, the field is finally advancing to storing and interacting with pathology data digitally, which opens up the door to get more use out of that data—and that includes AI use cases.
