At Frontiers Health 2022, pharmaphorum Editor in Chief Jonah Comstock sat down with Matthew Holt, the founder and publisher of the Health Care Blog and a long-time self-described “digital health curmudgeon”.

In a freewheeling conversation, Jonah and Matt get into the nitty gritty of digital therapeutics and whether they should be following the paths of traditional therapeutics or blazing their own trail of new infrastructure.

For a long time, there was no debate on that topic, but as digital therapeutics have come into their own, DTx creators are questioning all the conventional wisdom, even as they take the steps they need to for regulation, reimbursement, and public trust.

They also talk about the age-old question of whether and how much AI can replace human physicians and therapists, now and in the future.
