Patient-centricity in RWE: fine words, fiction or facts?
The perennial challenge for pharmaceutical companies that espouse a patient-centric approach to their activities is being able to prove that they can ‘walk the talk’ when it comes to being closer to, and more engaged with, patients.
Meanwhile, the rise in the importance – and applicability – of real world evidence (RWE) continues unabated, providing powerful insights that can be harnessed for in areas such as market access, brand performance and drug safety.
RWE goes beyond traditional data collection to help pharma, payers and prescribers gain a better understanding of outcomes. But, whatever the therapy area or geography in which a company operates, patient engagement is key if RWE is to be successfully harnessed.
Applying patient-centricity to RWE activities challenges the industry to assess its approaches to date and question whether its fine words are fact or fiction. There is a strong kernel of truth in the buzzword that is ‘patient-centricity’ but translating buzzwords into action requires pharma companies to put in place – and carry out – a strong plan of action.
This pharmaphorum webinar will bring together experts from the NHS, IQVIA and other key stakeholders for an exciting digital debate where the panel will address:
- What do patients themselves think of patient-centricity?
- What role can patient support groups play?
- How to assess the patient’s view of RWE activities
- How is pharma supporting patients?
- How does patient centricity help advance RWE?
- Who are the key stakeholders in the burgeoning real-world evidence field?
The live debate takes place on Wednesday 4th July at 15:00 BST / 10:00 EST.
